孫の運動会 Grand-children's Sports Day

5月20日(土）孫の運動会

今季最高の暑さに見舞われたこの週末は大イベントに参加。同学年の二人の孫は別々の小学校でそれぞれ同じ日に運動会とあいなり、夫は市川へ、私は蘇我へと二分して炎天下での運動会の応援に駆け付けました。暑い中でも一生懸命プログラムをこなし、応援合戦を続ける児童の真剣な顔は見ていても気持ちがいいもの。日焼けを意識したにもかかわらず、いざとなると、顔を炎天下に突き出して拍手喝采。孫のいる5年生全児童による「星の子、輝やけ、今決戦の時」を踊りで表現した民舞は圧巻
でした。5年生の組体操も感動。指導陣の中の女の先生はやり終えた瞬間、感動で涙が止まらない様子でした。一生懸命な姿は説得力がありますね。
This terribly hot weekend was busy everywhere with sport s day for primary school children. Our two grand-children, both are fifth graders at different schools, got their school sports day on the same day, so my husband and I got separated to cheer them respectively. In spite of such severe hot weather, the children's sincere and desperate efforts to win looked wonderful and moved our hearts very much. Sports make everybody serious and that's the reason why I love sports.
