家族 Family

Our two daughters' first sons born in the same year are going to be the first grade this year. They just finished their first step of long training life either at a nursery school or at a kindergarten. As they are now in a recess, we asked them to come to our place to enjoy themselves in a country-side. This time only one family was available and they brought their grand father together who is living with them, which made us more happy. The weather has been very unstable these days and a big storm was expected to come this weekend. But fortunately, the day they came was rather mild and we executed Barbecue party in the back yard. It turned to be successful and very enjoyable. Our grand sons, one is 6 years old  and the little baby is 8 months, were very happy out in the yard. The baby having a keen appetite pushed his mother to feed him without intervals by producing some funny voice. He already started eating baby food. He is a big rice cake like angel.

二人の娘たちのそれぞれの長男も又同級生。今年いよいよピカピカの小学一年生となります。今は保育園、幼稚園それぞれを卒園して待機中なので二家族来る予定でしたが、週末大忙しの長女組はおあずけとなり結局次女の家族が二泊三日を田舎の自然に囲まれた我が家にやってきました。遠雷の季節、週末は大荒れの天気という予報ではありましたが、金曜日は嵐の前の静けさとでもいいましょうか、おだやかで、孫の好きな（というよりも爺の好きな）バーベキューを決行。６歳と８ヶ月の孫息子達は大変ご機嫌。８ヶ月の方は離乳食が始まって食べる意志が旺盛。ふがふが催促の声を発声し続ける有様。もちもちの天使君。娘の義父もご一緒で賑やかな夕餉となりました。

Two days ago, this family was telecasted on NHK program entitled "Iku-Ji, a grand father caring a grand child" which was very well done. We were happy to find the good relationship between our daughter and her father-in law to raise their kids.　Therefore, we were  very appreciative for his visit to our place.

偶然にも、彼らが来る２日前、NHKの朝の番組の「イクジイ」に彼等を取材したものが放映されていた。嫁と舅が尊敬しあい、信頼関係を築いてうまく子育てをしているのを見て嬉しくありがたいと思っていたところでしたので、先方のおじいちゃんが一緒に来て下さったことが一層その気持ちを強くしてくれました。
