昨日は市原愛さんの若さ溢れる百万ドルの笑顔と気品のある美しさから奏でられたソプラノ公演にすっかり魅了されたばかり。丸山滋さんのピアノ伴奏も素晴らしく、今シーズンのプロムナードコンサート第一回目は大満足でした。http://www.aiichihara.com/
そして今日は世界女性連合の栃木連合会主催の第１８回栃木県女子留学生日本語弁論大会に審査員の一人として参加する機会を得ました。留学生の弁論の内容も年々程度が高くなってきている印象を受けて、感心させられました。日本に来て、短い人で数か月の学生から、長い人は７，８年も勉強している。異なる社会環境の中で、日本社会と文化を理解しようとする前向きの姿勢が彼等を大きく成長させている。今回は中国から３人、台湾から１人、イランから１人であった。大学院生から高校生まで幅広く、共通する内容は将来、母国と日本の架け橋になって働きたいという夢を持っていることでした。交通事故にあって半年も休学し、リハビリに励み、困難を乗り越えて学生生活に復帰した学生の話は痛々しく、再起するその姿には感動させられた。草の根的にこういった交流を行うことがやがては国家間の交流に貢献するものであり、こういった小さな一つ一つの活動が世界平和に向けてのうねりとなって行くのだと思う。
It was just yesterday when I was so impressed with the Soprano performance by Ms.Ai Ichihara accompanied by Mr.Shigeru Maruyama on the piano whose performance was also fascinating. It was the first music performance named Promenade Concert this year, which gave me a big satisfaction. Then today another cultural event entitled Speech Contest in Japanese by women foreign students conducted by WFWP was held in Utsunomiya. I was invited to be one of the judges. The quality of speech has been promoted more and more year by year. The speakers are all stepping forward in spite of many difficulties, barriers, even traffic accident they experienced but they try to challenge and overcome them to find out what to do for the sake of their future. This kind of grass-roots movement is indispensable to eventually contribute to promote bilateral relation in terms of nations. This movement should lead us toward the world peace.
