感動の朝 Impressive morning

ぎっしり日本語で書かれたお礼状

今朝も小雨の中、日本語学習グループ（ベトナムから来ている若い女性3人）とまだ薄暗い朝の公園で寺子屋授業をしてきました。今日はあんなに職場の移動を嘆き悲しんでいたトゥイさんが、心の整理をして、一年半、お世話になった人達にお礼とお別れの気持ちをぎっしり日本語で書いた手紙を持ってきました。平素、それぞれ書いている日記を毎日一緒に見なおしているのが功を奏した結果とはいえ、ここまで熱心に、しかも、手紙を書いて自分の感謝の気持ちを伝えようとした彼女の誠意とエネルギーに私は大変心を動かされました。この手紙を貰った職場の人達は絶対感動するに違いありません。トゥイさんはこれで大きくステップアウトしたと思います。5，6人もの人たちに、2頁から4頁にわたる長文の手紙を一生懸命日本語で書いてのけた彼女の熱意と努力は、他の二人にも感動を与えていました。これで、彼女はますます日本語の勉強をする自信がついたに違いありません。良かった！

I was so impressed with what one of my Vietnamese students studying Japanese with my help did this time for the occasion of her work change due to the company's convenience. She was so shocked upon the information of her work change and kept crying in front of us. I tried to cool her down saying that she should think about what's the purpose of her being in Japan. Since then one week has past and today she showed me her recovering by bringing in 5 or 6 letters written in Japanese to be handed to her friends and colleagues in the working place where she has worked up until today. The letters were so well written with some miss used expressions though. They are so warm-heartfelt. Her sincere gratitude to the people around her for what they have done to her is well described. I was so happy about what she has done. She desires to improve her Japanese and I'm sure that this brave action let her step out to go for it. Good for her!
