孫達がUターンした後は中国からの留学生が大晦日に来訪。正月を一緒に過ごします。スキーがやりたかったようですが残念ながら雪が無くて不可能。庭でたき火をして焼き芋を賞味。一人は南京から、もう一人は成都からで二人ともたき火は初めてだそう。ワイルドライフを知らない都会人。日本のアニメ、イケメンの世界にはまっている典型的な若い中国人です。日本に来て衝撃的だったことは空気がきれいなことだそう。
After seeing off our grand-children, we welcomed two Chinese students studying in Tokyo. They are here through the new year eve and the new year day. It's disappointing for them not to be able to ski. Instead we enjoyed making a fire in the back yard and grilled sweet potatoes. They are from big cities in China, one from Nanking, the other from Seito. The both cities are mega-cities and they don't know how a wild life is. They are typical Chinese students who are deeply in love with Japanese animation and young good looking Japanese men. What they were most surprised upon arriving in Japan was the clean, fresh and transparent air. That's what they said to respond to my question asking about their first
