A summary in English from yesterday's blog (I was too tired to write an English version of my blog yesterday!)
Under such a beautiful spring weather, we(me & my husband) drove all the way down to Abiko in Chiba pref. taking 3 hours drive without any stop on the way. We visited our second daughter's mother in-law who has been hospitalyzed for more than 1 year. We were welcomed by our daughter's family, her husband and their son. They came by their own car from their place in Ichikawa. We entered the hospital altogether. Due to the strange care system, most of the patients have to be transfered to a different hospital every 3 months. This Tsukushino hospital in Abiko is her 4th hospital. She collapsed in March last year at home and immediately taken to hospital by ambulance. They found out she got cerebral infarcton. Once she seemed to be recovered to some extent but she happend to fall down in hospital by herself, which made her worse. Then she got to be paralyzed. She is only 71. That was really too bad. Since then she has never had a chance to open her mouth to talk to her grandson, such an adorable smart boy. He is going to be 4 in July. He can talk a lot and read Hiragana, Katakana. He is really growing both physically and mentally. It is sad to see him touch her granma's hand and massage it gently to get no reaction. We all wish her recovery as soon as possible.

May 15 is our second daughter's birthday which is coincidentally the day of Okinawa Return. She was born when Okinawa was returned to Japan in 1972. So after visiting her mother in-law, we went to Kashiwa no Ha Lalaport nearby and had a lunch together to celebrate her birthday.
