有名進学校訪問 Visit to one of the most prestigious schools in Nanjing

昨日は孫曼さんのご配慮で南京市でも優秀な中高一貫教育の公立校、南京外国語学校を訪問、高２の授業風景を見させていただきました。高1で全員日本語能力検定Ｎ１に合格しているという。今回は、前に彼らが脚色して演じた「浦島太郎」の演劇のＤＶＤを見て、その感想を述べるというものであったが、生徒全員が日本語でそれぞれの感じた事、視点を巧みに表現するのを見て感動しました。思想も深くて、それを表現出来ている。玉手箱をテーマに議論させた教師の技量も素晴らしい。入学競争率は10倍強の由。全学生数4000人中日本語専攻学生数は５８とのこと。

もう一つ驚いたこと。帰路、ある小学校の門のあたりでの凄い人の集まり。これは生徒を迎えにきている父兄（殆どが祖父母）とのこと。圧巻でした。

Thanks to Mme Son, we had a very precious time to watch the 11th graders'Japanese class of Nanjing Foreign language School located nearby Chinminsu. This school from 7 to 12 grades is one of four public Foreign language schools in Nanjing. This class has 12 students who have been studying Japanese more than four years. They are all excellent to express deeply themselves how they feel and what impression they have on the story they created based on one of Japanese folk stories. Not only their good Japanese but also their way of thinking and creativity impressed us very much. All the students in the class participated in the discussion well directed by their excellent teacher. Having more than 50 years'history, this school has sent half of the graduates abroad for higher education at such as Harvard, Princeton, Waseda, Beijing, Shanｇhai, etc. and 8 ambassadors have been produced up until now.
