平成31年2月1日 EECC新年会

EECC恒例の新年会がAMクラス、ランチタイムクラス合同で賑やかに開催されました。
地域活性化を考える市民活動団体として日光清風塾が発足したのは2007年12月。その活動の一つとして「楽しい英会話クラブ（EECC)」を2年後の2009年7月にスタートさせました。試行錯誤で始めてから今年で10年となっていることに、今こうしてブログを書きながら気が付き、改めて思いを馳せているところです。5年前には節目として、小さな冊子「会話ノート」を発行したことが思い出され、ならば、10周年として頑張っているメンバーの方々の励みとなることを何か企画するべきではないだろうか。新しい課題として考えていきたいと思います。
今やスマホが何でも用を足してくれる世の中になり、外国語自体勉強する必要もなくなる勢いですが、やはり、AIでは出来ない、人間でしか出来ないことは沢山あるはず。AIはデーターの蓄積でしかない。考えながらの人とのコミュニケーションは出来ない。国際語である英語の役割、必要性を信じて、そして、人に触れて楽しく会話が出来ることを目標に、この活動は続けたいと思います。継続は力なりを信じて。
Our annual New Year Party was held on the first of February in such an enjoyable mood with AM class and Lunch Time class together. It's going to be 10 years in July this year having many challenging experiences. We started with several members in 2009 and now we have 30 more or less.
Back in 2014, in order to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the establishment of EECC, I edited and issued a small booklet "Conversation Note". Being aware of EECC history now, I came to notice that some commemorative  idea should be born and realized within this year.
Even in the world with highly advanced technology, I believe our human communication is successfully done only with face to face and it's needed to keep learning English, most used language in the world. Continuity is an authority.
