My husband came back safely from his one week trip in Xian, China. He had been there since March 5th to conduct his lectures on Media in Japan three times at the uniersities. He was also involved in friendship activities with young students. Being back home, he looked heavily loaded with lot of new exciting experiences in contrast with my relaxation during his absence. He never loses his interest in learning knew things. His everlasting theme for living is "The world is so vast and difficult to learn. That's why it is enjoyable to challenge it!"

Today I got impressed with one more story about the Memorial Concert planned and conducted by a worldwide wellknown conductor, Mr. Yutaka Sado, to commemorate the Higashi Nihon Big Disaster occured a year ago. When he was visiting those attacked areas to share the sorrow right after the earthquakes, he encountered Mrs.Akiko Iwasaki, one of the victims herself, who had been leading and ecouraging those people fallen in the disaster. She herself lost her house but she kept smiling face to encourage the people suffering from the huge shock.
Mr. Sado invited her to his concert held at the UNICEF Headquarters in Paris. She was given a chance on the stage in front of the orchestra to address her message on behal of her comrades in her home town. She read her message loudly and clearly. "Our home town should be reborn by the time our children will be grown up." Mr, Sado handed his conducting stick over to her so that she could donduct the reconstruction works of destroyed towns for the sake of the victims. The expression that Mrs. Iwasaki is now a conductor of the attacked area has been staying in my mind since then.
