新たな出発 A new career to challenge

一年前から誘いのあった南京のメディア大学に向かって夫は今朝羽田を出発した。とりあえず２か月間の授業を担当することになり、環境が異なる中での新たな経験を積もうとしている。PM2.5や日中間の国交が領土問題などで硬直している時にあたり、スムースには行かないこともあるだろう。でも広い世界を渡り、異なる文化社会に関心を持って理解することの大切さを経験したことから、若い人達の中に入って議論することを楽しみに出かけて行った。平和を築く人生は楽しい人生であるということ。夫の希望と信念の強さを改めて敬服しながら送り出した。
羽田の国際線ロビーにあるコーヒーショップから見事な富士山が見えた。これから日本を旅立つ人にとっても、日本を訪れて帰途につく人にとっても、これは強く心に残る素晴らしい眺めになると思う。

My husband left for China this morning to be on duty as a professor of the Communication University of China in Nanjing for two months. He is going to put himself in a different place for another challenging career. Facing some severe problems such as PM2.5,  Chiken Influenza or the territory confliction, he might feel uneasy about the reality. But his lots of interests in the different cultures and societies had taken him to the broad world and he learned many things by understanding them. He is very much looking forward to discussing with young people on the campus. He has gone with a strong faith that the life to establish the peace is the enjoyable life. I saw him off with a big respect.
A coffee shop in the international lobby has a beautiful view of Mt.Fuji. This view will surely remain in the mind of travelers leaving Japan.
