合唱の醍醐味 The peculiar charm of the choir

毎週２回のコーラスグループ「カンマーコール」に先月より入部して今日で３回目。実に充実していて時間があっという間に経ってしまう。若さ溢れる指導者の下、団員が皆活発で閉鎖的ではないのがいい。前回、新しい曲スメタナの「モルダウ」の音合わせを三つのパートに別れて三人の先生がそれぞれ指導されたが、今日はいきなり全パートが一緒に音合わせをやったところ、殆ど出来ていて驚いた。ICレコーダーを用意して正解であった。１時間は下司先生が全体指導、後半の半時間は各パートに別れて同じ「モルダウ」と「き・も・ち」というジャズ風に作曲された童謡を歌いこむ。この「き・も・ち」は偶然にも３月２０日のあの台南市からの室内合唱団との交流イベントにホストファミリーの一人として参加した時、この曲の作曲家とお知り合いになり、彼女が後に送って下さった本と同じ。指揮者の下司先生が作詞されている。何だか、鳥肌が打つような緊張感と感動を覚える。テンポの心地よい、キュートな曲が揃っている。その中の２曲に挑戦。最後の半時間はこの合唱団全体をA、B、Cの三つに分けてそれぞれ歌いたい曲を選んで特訓を受ける。私がいるBグループは「花は咲く」「Amazing grace」「アメリカン　フィーリング」。とにかく前向きで本格派の明るい指導がいい。日光を超えて今度は夏に横浜での演奏会に参加するという企画まで立てられている。

Last month in April, I joined this choir group named "Kammer Ciao"directed by Mr.Shimoji, young conductor and poet as well supported by the other two young ladies, Miss Tashiro, professional singer and Miss Tezuka, pianist. We have two practice gatherings for two hours each every month.  This time again, I had such a fruitful time(lesson) and the time past so quickly. The way they direct us is very effective and their young spirit gives us a positive motivation. "Maldau "by Smetana, "Ki・Mo・Chi"(literary translation is Feeling) composed by Ms.Ando who I met for the first time when this group had a joint concert with the Chamber Choir of Tainan-city in March. I was there with my husband as one of the host-families for the group members. She kindly sent me a copy of her work. There are about ten songs in this book and all of those lyrics were written by Mr.Shimoji. Amazing!
