大雨の爪痕 Big damage caused by the outrageously heavy rain in September 9,10

大雨の被害　9月12日

昨晩、組内でご夫人だけの年一回の食事会に出席。今回の災害の情報が行き交いました。犠牲になられた方々のご冥福を祈り、被災された方々の一刻も早い復興を祈りました。組内では排水溝の水が溢れ出て住宅地の道が川と化しましたが隣接の組ではリフォームして5か月という新しいお家が後ろのがけ崩れで押し出されるという被害が出ていました。今朝、現場に行って茫然としました。岩山だからという考えはは通用しませんでした。余りの雨の量に、岩山も水を吸収することが出来ず、山から水がむしろ溢れ出る結果になりました。岩山の崩壊でした。被災された方は近くの市営住宅に空きがあったおかげでそちらに入られたそう。
Yesterday we had an annual dinner meeting only for the wives living in this small unit of our local community. We were 10. We shared what we experienced this time through the outrageosly heavy rain caused by the typhoon No.18. We prayed for the victims and for the quick recovery of the damaged areas. In our place flew out water from the gutter and the alley turned to a stream. But a newly reformed house five months ago in our neighbor unit was attacked by a big land slide from backside. I went to see the site this morning and I was so shocked. The rocky mountain in the back couldn't absorb too much rain. It was beyond its capacity. The family safely moved to an apartment nearby.
