第６回日光混声合唱団発表会 The 6th performance by Nikko Mixchoir Group

第６回日光混声合唱団コンサート開催。今回は小杉放菴美術館で開催し、アマ中のアマコーラスであるのにもかかわらず、場所代を考慮して有料チケットを用意。それだけに緊張感があった。日光少年少女合唱団も加わって賑やかな舞台となったことでホッとする部分もあり、意外に楽しくパフォーム出来たかも。歌は音符をフォローするだけではなく、歌詞の言葉で歌うということを今回は学んだような気がする。加齢とともに、難しくなって行きそう。二年後に日光開山1250年記念祭を控えて、そのプロローグとして「ふるさとへ」と「実りの秋」を披露。作詞家の水樹涼子さんも列席されていた。

The 6th concert by Nikko Mixchoir group was held at Kosugi Houan Art Museum located only 13 minutes drive away from my place. This time we sold admission tickets to cover the rental fee for the concert place, which made us a bit nervous and gave us big tension to some extent. However, thanks to Nikko  boys and girls choir group which joined our performance, we were encouraged to feel cheerful and enjoyable.  I feel I'm learning how to sing to convey the message of each song. It's not all to follow technical elements but to follow the meaning of words so as to convey or tell the message in songs to the audience or listners. Well, it's going to be harder as we get older. In two years, we are planning to have a big project to celebrate the 1250 years anniversary of Nikko Kaizan(Mountain Faith origined in the 8th century in Mt.Nantai). Our choir group has started practicing some songs which were composed for the big event to be in two years. This time two of them were introduced by us for the first time as prologue for that. They are "To home town" and "The harvest season". They are lyrics by Ms.Ryouko Mizuki who was also in the audience.
