東京から姪っ子２家族が松江から上京している彼等の両親、つまり私の次兄夫婦ともども、雨の中を車で来晃。3日前に自治医大で誕生した甥っ子の第二子に会いに行く前に遠回りをして日光に寄ったのですが、目的はあの鄙びた場所にある人気のお蕎麦屋さんでもう一度あの蕎麦を食べることでした。これこそリピーター。雨だったことが幸いして総勢9人がすっぽり、キャンセルされた予約席を獲得。更に、平素は忙しくて営業されていない天然かき氷をタイミングが良かったことから我々だけにサーブしてもらうという幸運に恵まれました。彼等は今回は我が家に寄る時間がなくて、食後はまっすぐ病院へ。東京から日帰りの強行軍スケジュールの中、比較的ゆっくり楽しくお話も出来た昼のひと時は大変貴重でした。彼らが無事に美味しいお蕎麦と天然かき氷を賞味出来て大満足してくれたことに乾杯！そして甥っ子の第二子誕生に乾杯！Two nieces and their families drove up here from Tokyo today for one day trip before going to the hospital to see the newly-born baby, the second daughter of their brother. There parents (my second brother and his wife living in Matsue) were with them.They wanted to have Soba for lunch at that popular Soba restaurant where we have once tried together before. The location is very country side, quiet and good atmosphere. Thanks to the rain, we were lucky to take over the reserved table which had been canceled because of the bad weather. Furthermore, another good luck came over to us. They served us 9 glass bowls of the crashed natural ice with different flavors each. Usually they are too busy to serve this menu but they had a time today to do this only for our group,though. We had a rather relaxed and enjoyable time having nice conversation over Soba and Kakigoori. They have gone with a great satisfaction. Very good. Kanpai (Cheers) for their successful plan and for the newly born baby!
