人生最高の桜観賞 The most gorgeous and dynamic cherry blossoms in my life

350年力強く生き抜いてきている枝垂桜がライトアップされてますますその勇壮であでやかな姿が際立って夜空に舞っている。稲荷町の友人宅の敷地に聳えるこの枝垂桜は個人で代々心を込めて保存されてきたのだそうだ。普通の桜ではない。天然記念物として登録されているのでそれを愛でに人が訪ねてくる程の貴重な存在であり、地元の宝となっている。その脇には高野槇が勢いよく伸びている。日本古来の美しく、力強い自然を圧倒される思いで観賞させていただきました。「凄い！」と感嘆の叫びが今でも

私の中で響きわたっている。

The big and robust cherry tree with gorgeous blossoms in full bloom was steadily standing there in the premise of our friend who lives in Nikko. The blossoms were dancing just like fireworks up in the sky illuminated by the big lights under them on the ground. This tree has been protected with big cares by his family from generation to generation on private base for more than 350 years. It must have been enormous job. Now the tree is registered as a natural monument so that many people visit here to appreciate it. We should be proud of it as one of our treasures in Nikko. Next to it is Koyamaki, a kind of cidar tree which makes a good contrast with its strong green color. These two great trees look something very divine and we bow to them in natural way. I still keep my exciting feeling in my mind. "There's no other precious thing than this !"
